NBA Isolation

Another idea that would marginally benefit the Hawks came from Adrian Wojnarowski who said on SportsCenter that the NBA may try to isolate all players and other necessary personnel in Las Vegas or some other destination, to play games.

This is easily the most outlandish idea and would take a lot of work and resources to pull off. While the NBA certainly doesn’t lack the resources to make this happen, the biggest problem is that you need to test and quarantine hundreds of people in the same location for two weeks.

This seems like a great idea in theory for the NBA, but is it really worth it. I think it is much more likely that the NBA would play into September. This seems like a last resort measure, just in case the season is in jeopardy of being cancelled entirely.

Similar to the NBA’s idea of playing into September, this idea would only benefit the Hawks in terms of giving the young guys more time to work on their games. However, another minor benefit that I didn’t mention previously is that Vince Carter would get to play 15 more games.

I didn’t mention this before because it would be so much cooler in this scenario. Imagine all 28 NBA rosters sitting in the stands cheering on Vince Carter as he takes on the Cleveland Cavaliers in his final NBA game. That would be so cool. Unlikely, but cool.
