NBA Mock Draft with a simulated lottery.

As we continue into April without NBA or NCAA basketball, it’s truly an unprecedented time in the NBA mock draft world. Not only did we not get to see top prospects one more time in March Madness, we still don’t know if the NBA season will resume, or if the current lottery standings will stay put.

Currently, the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves own the three worst records in the league, thus sharing the best odds of landing the #1 pick. The Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls follow them closely and still have a shot at catching them if play resumes.

For this mock draft, we simulated the lottery via Tankathon, which gave some fun results. The Hawks won the lottery with a 12.5 percent chance of doing so. Chicago and Charlotte were also winners, both jumping up five spots to grab the second and third overall picks.

The Warriors were the biggest losers, dropping to the fifth pick while Cleveland also dropped four spots to the sixth pick. Full results are below:
