SG, Arizona. 18. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Boston Celtics. Josh Green. 17. player

Make it two Wildcats in a row with Mannion’s backcourt teammate heading to Boston. The Celtics are obviously in win-now mode and Green can contribute right away for them.

The 6’6 wing should be among the best defenders in the class overall and is perhaps the best on the perimeter. He uses quick feet and shifty hands to get under the skin of opponents, averaging over a steal-and-a-half per game as a freshman.

He should be able to bring that defensive intensity to the pros easily but will need to work on his offense.  He has the potential to be a great 3-and-D guy but the ‘3’ just isn’t there yet. He makes up that a bit with his athleticism which could be really unlocked by the C’s.

He could be this year’s Matisse Thybulle.
