PG, Duke. Denver Nuggets. Tre Jones. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 73. 21. player

I’m higher on Jones than most, and while I understand the offensive limitations, Jones’ defensive tenacity can’t be ignored. The 6’2 point guard is a phenomenal perimeter defender, and while he likely will never be an All-Star at the next level, he can be among the best defenders at his position.

Denver already has a solid defensive unit, and Jones would only help in that and add to their already deep backcourt. Jones wouldn’t be asked to do much offensively but can surprise with his playmaking at times.

There is a real upside to taking the proven winner, and Jones should be able to carve out a nice career as a role player, just as his brother Tyus has.
