#3 – February 29th, vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Huerter showed his potential as an elite role player in this one, stuffing the stat sheet without needing a major role to do so. In a night that saw four of five Hawks starters score 15 points or more, Huerter put up 19 on just 10 shots.
He went 3-7 from three, making each of his three shots inside the arch. He went 4-4 from the free-throw line as well. He added eight assists as the secondary ball-handler, which at the time, tied his season-high.
His best moments of the night came on the other end of the floor, where Huerter can sometimes struggle. He flashed solid defense all night, blocking a shot and recording three steals. One of those steals turned into a stop-and-pop three in transition:
You can't score six points on a Pick-6 in basketball, so @KevinHuerter is going to have to settle for three. pic.twitter.com/g45MoIyWoh

He looked poised on both ends of the court and was one of the games this season wherein he did feel like an upgraded version of his rookie-self.
It was one of the Hawks’ best offensive nights on the season as a team, and Huerter was a key component in their 129-117 victory.
