F – Joe Johnson

Iso Joe Johnson is certainly an interesting Atlanta Hawks all-timer. He is definitely one of the better scorers in Hawks history, however, his impact doesn’t stretch must past that.

Joe Johnson was drafted in the 2001 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics at 10th overall. He eventually made his way to the Hawks in season five where he continued to have the best stretch of his career by far.

He played seven seasons with the Hawks and during that time he averaged 20.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. While he was certainly a volume scorer, he was also an efficient one posting shooting splits of .449/.363/.808 during his time with the team.

Joe Johnson had impressive averages and his impact on the offensive end of the floor is one of the best in Hawks history. His performance in Atlanta resulted in his being named to six All-Star teams and even an All-NBA team in 2009-10.

Honestly, Joe Johnson has become somewhat underrated over the years as people see him as just simply a scorer. However, his ability to score the ball was so flawless that he really didn’t need to do much else in order to have a positive impact on his team.

Joe Johnson will go down as one of the greatest scorers in not only Atlanta Hawks history but in NBA history. Similar to many other guys on this list, we could easily see a Johnson jersey hanging in the rafters of State Farm Arena one day.
