2. Jrue Holiday

Similar to Bradley Beal, the Jrue Holiday trade rumours have settled down recently. However, it doesn’t seem as though Holiday is a part of the New Orleans Pelicans plan for the future and thus, exploring a trade for him now makes a lot of sense.

Jrue Holiday would be a perfect backcourt mate alongside Trae Young. Holiday is one of the best three and D shooting guards in the NBA and can easily make up for all the gaps in Trae Young’s game.

Additionally, this mock trade requires the Hawks to give up De’Andre Hunter which isnt likely something they would want to do, however, Holiday is going to warrant a pretty hefty return.

Jrue Holiday could certainly help the Hawks in the short term, however, he is nearly 30 years old so he’s not getting any better. If the Hawks are interested in making a short term move in order to make the playoffs, Holiday makes a lot of sense. But if they want to build for the future, keeping Hunter would be a smart move.

While Holiday would certainly improve the Hawks defensively, I don’t think his defensive impact would be as big as Rudy Gobert. Thus, Gobert still seems like the most logical move.
