4. How high could Trae Young have finished the season in terms of PPG?

At the time of the NBA suspension, Trae Young was tied for 3rd with Giannis Antetokounmpo at 29.6 points per game. He also wasn’t far behind Bradley Beal at 30.5 points per game. While Trae Young wasn’t likely to win the scoring title as James Harden was averaging an insane 34.4 points per game he easily could have been the runner up.

Trae had only been getting better as the season went on. He started the season averaging 26.8 points per game in the month of October and finished the season averaging 31.3 points per game in the month of February. If Trae Young was to continue at that pace for the remainder of the season, he very likely would have surpassed Bradley Beal.

Trae Young is already proving to be one of the best scorers in the NBA in just his second season. He’s still getting better and still has so much room to grow. If Trae Young can be even more efficient and even mroe productive than he was this season for the Hawks next season, they will be a lock to make the post-season.

Even though we might not be able to see where Trae Young was going to end up on the scoring list this season, he may have a chance to win the scoring title as soon as next season.
