2. John Collins

The second most valuable Atlanta Hawk according to Spotrac’s true value score is John Collins. Collins has a true value score of 99.90 which is absolutely incredible. It’s the third most valuable contract among all forwards and seventh-most valuable in the entire NBA! He trails just Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pascal Siakam in terms of the valuable forwards.

John Collins was drafted 19th overall in 2017 so he is, similar to Kevin Huerter, still on his rookie-scale contract. Which is what makes him so valuable. This season Collins made just $2.6M which is crazy low, especially considering his near All-Star level production.

In the 41 games, John Collins played this season he averaged 21.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game with shooting splits of .583/.401/.800. Considering he is still improving drastically being in just his third season, these numbers are amazing. Collins is going to have a real shot at making an All-Star appearance over the next couple of seasons.

John Collins is also a huge part of the Atlanta Hawks incredible draft success over the past three years. If Collins is able to continue developing into the All-Star forward/center he appears to be, the Atlanta Hawks are going to be really good, really soon, especially considering how valuable his contract is.
