SF, Washington. 22. player. 93. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Philadelphia 76ers (via OKC). Jaden McDaniels

The Sixers have almost more vets than they know what to do with and whoever they take with this pick likely won’t play much barring injury. McDaniels is a good target for it, as he’s someone who could really use a season or two in the G-League before being ready for the NBA.

After being one of the top recruits out of high school, McDaniels struggled for the Huskies, with nearly all his averages looking pretty ugly. His measurements and potential are still there, with his 6’10 frame jumping off the page given his ball-handling skills.

The skinny and lanky 19-year-old has drawn comparisons to Brandon Ingram and Kevin Durant based solely on his size but has a lot of work to do to be even near the same level as those two offensively.

He made just 40 percent of his 10.8 attempts per game, never looking overly comfortable shooting the ball from the outside. He was better as a slasher but still raw when it comes to consistent finishes.

While he’ll likely never be a shutdown defender, he does have athleticism and the aforementioned length to stay in front of nearly anyone.
