Pick Analysis. Toronto Raptors. Tyrell Terry. 81. Prospect Profile. PG, Stanford. 28. player

The Raptors have built their brand on hitting these late first-round picks and Terry could be another slam dunk for them, especially if Fred VanVleet leaves in free agency.

The Stanford point guard has elite sharpshooter potential and he can create for himself off the dribble. He has range similar to Trae Young and Damian Lillard that makes him a threat to score each time he crosses halfcourt.

He can score easily but the playmaking you need out of a 6’1 point guard isn’t there yet. Terry averaged just 3.2 assists in 32.6 per game as a freshman, with his turnovers (2.6 per game) not far behind.

Terry can easily add that to his game, however, especially with the help of coach Nick Nurse and veteran floor general Kyle Lowry. For now, he provides a high upside as a true shooter.
