Philadelphia 76ers

Overview:

The Hawks turn one young wing with two-way potential into two young wings with two-way potential.

Why Atlanta says yes:

Matisse Thybulle was as good or even better as Hunter in their respective rookie seasons, and Zhaire Smith still has the athletic potential he had coming out of college a few years ago. Both can come in and be apart of the core moving forward.

Why Philadelphia says yes:

De’Andre Hunter is from Philly and brings the same defensive energy as Thybulle. The 2022 first could be more valuable than Smith.

Why Atlanta says no:

Turning one young player into two young players may not be the best road for the Hawks – who want to start competing – to take.

Why Philadelphia says no:

Thybulle and Smith combined have more potential/future value than Hunter, Thubulle has proven to be playable for a contender as a rookie.
