Atlanta Hawks: One Potential Off-Season Trade With Each Team
By Dallin Duffy
Detroit Pistons
Overview:
Hawks swap a point guard unlikely to make the final roster for a defensive-minded wing who could work his way up the rotation.
Why Atlanta says yes:
Brandon Goodwin is the lone Hawk under contract that likely won’t be on the team next season if they can flip him for someone who could make the final roster, they should.
Why Detroit says yes:
Brandon Knight is a free agent to be and Derrick Rose could very well be on the move this off-season as well. Goodwin is a good plug-and-play guard if they go full tank next season.
Why Atlanta says no:
Khyri Thomas is still an unknown and Brandon Goodwin has solid chemistry with the current roster, especially Trae Young.
Why Detroit says no:
Neither Brandon Goodwin nor the 52nd pick is likely to see major playing time into the future of the Motor City.
