Pick Analysis. DePaul. Paul Reed. player. Scouting Report. PF. 21. 125

Measurables:

Position: Power forward

Height: 6’9

Weight: 220

Wingspan: 7’2

Overview:

A throwback, physical four who turned heads with gaudy STOCK numbers as a junior. Plays like a small forward on offense, able to slash and finish at the rim with either hand.

NBA Outlook:

Paul Reed will rise big boards of any GM who believes in switchable, pointless defense, as Reed can defend inside and out confidently. He made strides as a perimeter shooter during his three seasons with DePaul, but never found the success outside that he did in the paint.

Player Comparison:

Jonathan Issac without the point-forward playmaking.

Fit With Atlanta Hawks:

Reed can help fill the Hawks’ open backup four spot and help provide defense on both levels, which is still a need for the young team.
