435. PF. Florida State. Patrick Williams. 19. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Measurables:

Position: Power forward

Height: 6’8

Weight: 225

Wingspan: 6’11

Overview:

Williams is an interesting prospect with a unique playstyle. He’s a power forward but plays like a slashing guard with both finishing and play-making abilities. Spot up shooting is still an issue, as is his perimeter defense.

NBA Outlook:

Tough to say, but teams might fancy Williams as a (very) small-ball five like how the Rockets use P.J Tucker. He can make strides offensively while fine-tuning his defensive game, which is much more pro-ready.

NBA Comparison:

Uber-athletic P.J Tucker.

Fit With Atlanta Hawks:

I struggle to find Williams’ fit on other teams, let alone on the Hawks. He’s baffled me as a prospect, but hey, the Hawks do have room in the frontcourt, so why not?
