SG. Anthony Edwards. 527. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Georgia. 3. player

Measurables:

Position: Shooting guard

Height: 6’5

Weight: 225

Wingspan: 6’9

Overview:

A wing with all the natural fundamentals just waiting to be unlocked by the right team. If he reaches his ceiling, he’ll be the best player in the draft, but that’s a pretty big if at this point.

NBA Outlook:

Edwards is versatile; can do a bit of everything on the court. He doesn’t have a defined list of strengths and weaknesses but needs to polish just about everything after a lackluster season in Athens. Like Killian Hayes, he’d do best with a team that can give him big minutes without worrying about team success early on.

Player Comparison:

Orlando Magic-era Victor Oladipo.

Fit With Atlanta Hawks:

I get the Georgia connection but Edwards is far from a finished product. Do the Hawks, who are finally set to compete for the playoffs after a long rebuild, want another project?
