3 Best Atlanta Hawks From Triangle-Era of Jerseys
By Dallin Duffy
#3 Kent Bazemore
I initially had Millsap here and Kent Bazemore in the honorable mentions but swapped them last second. Bazemore is the first player I think of when I see the triangle-jerseys for some reason, and I still associate Millsap with the old blue, red, and white threads.
Playing five seasons for the Hawks, Baze was one of the longest-tenured Hawks of the last decade and four of those seasons came in the triangle-era. He’s tied with DeAndre’ Bembry for the most seasons spent in the old kits.
After filling in nicely as a fifth-option of the team’s final playoff runs of the decade, Bazemore transitioned into a bigger role as the rebuild began.
The defensive-minded forward averaged over a steal per game in each of his four years as a starter in Atlanta, becoming a fan favorite and beloved teammate during the darkest times of the rebuild.
His jersey isn’t going to be retired or anything, but he was more than solid and someone Hawks fans will always have a soft spot for.
