#2 Dennis Schröder

Dennis Schröder was pushed into the deep end of the pool and told to swim after being a sturdy backup for years. After Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap, and Kyle Korver left town, the German point guard was the best player in Atlanta.

After the team drafted Trae Young, they didn’t see a need for another young point guard and sent him to OKC for essentially nothing. I always liked Schröder, and even though he spent just two years as the starting quarterback for the team, I have more than a handful of fond memories of him rocking the triangle-pattern.

He’s gone on to become one of the best sixth men in the league with the Thunder, and while I’m very happy to have Trae, I wish Schroder would have stuck around until these new uniforms came out, at the very least.

Now, if you search “Dennis Schroder Hawks highlights” on Youtube, all you’ll see is volt green and triangles.
