#1 Trae Young

Trae Young only played two seasons in the triangle jerseys but was easily the best player to put one on. The offensive superstar had a rough first month to his career but played at an All-Star level from then on.

In a mere 141 games in the jerseys, Young far exceeded expectations, finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting last year and becoming an All-Star starter this season. He’s truly on pace to be one of the best players in franchise history.

Young is still, well, young enough to have his career defined by a different jersey, and the new look came just in time. But the first two years of Trae’s career will always be looked back on with fondness, and his number 11 triangle jersey is the only Hawks jersey from that era hanging in my closest.
