Atlanta Hawks want to acquire a second lottery pick and potentially Jarrett Culver
The Rumor:
"“Sources: The Timberwolves are attempting to acquire a second lottery pick. They’ve had talks with the Hawks for #6. A possible deal could include Jarrett Culver and #17.” – Kevin O’Connor"
Love, like or loathe:
Love with a couple of heart emojis.
I loved Jarrett Culver in the draft last season and still think he can be a dynamic wing player in the league. His rookie season was disapointing, but he was great down the stretch, especially defensively.
I also love the idea of Atlanta moving down a few spots in the draft and picking up another asset. This is certainly the draft to do so – the class is deep.

A number of teams are interested in Atlanta’s #6 pick—the Pelicans and Celtics being among them, sources say.
The difference between the number six pick and number 17 pick is razor-thin, especially compared to recent classes. Moving down 11 spots to pick up a lottery talent and the guy who was picked sixth overall last year? That sounds like a fantastic deal to me.
Love.
