While the top 3-and-D prospects (Devin Vassell, Isaac Okoro) will likely be gone by the late lottery, Bey could be a great consolation prize.

The Atlanta Hawks need 3-point shooting and perimeter defense and the Villanova product offers both. He’s been noted by scouts and ‘Nova coaches as being incredibly versatile on defense, using his ideal size to defend multiple positions well.

His NBA ceiling will be limited unless he can significantly improve his handle and playmaking ability, but he certainly has the 3-point shooting to be a solid role player, at the very least.

He made 45.1 percent of his long-range shot as a sophomore, impressing with his ability to shoot without his feet being set. He’s built in the same mold as 2019 rookies Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter, although he’s a touch less athletic.

Like Achiuwa, Bey is a plug-and-play rookie who could help the Atlanta Hawks on both ends of the court right away.
