Starter Grades:

B. Trae looked like he was setting himself up for a big night early in this one, scoring nine points in the opening minutes. He took a back seat after that but still finished with a solid night numbers wise thanks to late-game free throws. He was noticeably bad on defense, but to be fair, most of the team was. He once again led the team in scoring with 29, going 15-of-15 from the stripe.. PG. Atlanta Hawks. TRAE YOUNG

B -. Another so-so game for Cam, who was one of the few Hawks who played well defensively but continued to struggle to find his shot. He did help out in other aspects of the game, grabbing seven rebounds and adding three steals. Better games will come but this one was not bad at all for the sophomore.. SG. Atlanta Hawks. CAM REDDISH

C. A small step back for Hunter, who was one of the Hawks’ best players through two games. He was no means bad but got into a bit of foul trouble and like Cam, struggled with his shot. He continues to show improved confidence and shot-creation skills, which is very encouraging.. SF. Atlanta Hawks. DE'ANDRE HUNTER

C +. Collins continued his quiet start to his contract season, taking just seven shots to bring his season total to 26 attempts in three games. He was efficient on offense but was bullied on defense and had a few head-scratching plays throughout. Foul trouble limited him to 26 minutes.. PF. Atlanta Hawks. JOHN COLLINS

B -. Capela made his long-awaited debut in Atlanta, albeit on a strict minutes restriction. He looked good in limited play, tallying seven points and a team-high nine rebounds to go along with his two blocked shots. He and Trae connected a couple of times down low and it looks like the two will be a dynamic pick-and-roll duo into the future.. C. Atlanta Hawks. CLINT CAPELA
