Starter Grades:

PG. Atlanta Hawks. TRAE YOUNG. A -. A rare night without a 3-pointer for Young, who once again go the line with ease. He shot 16 times from the stripe, making 14 to account for nearly half of his 30 points on the night. He made it a double-double by adding 11 assists, a season-high. Interestingly, Young played just 32 minutes, less than he did in the team’s relatively easy win over Memphis. In a tight-knit contest like this, you’d think the All-Star would play more.

Cam stepped up tonight and played well on both ends of the court. He finished with 20 points but did struggle with his long-range shot, making just two of his seven 3-point attempts. He showed nice touch around the rim and made eight free throws.. SG. Atlanta Hawks. CAM REDDISH. B

Atlanta Hawks. DE'ANDRE HUNTER. C -. Hunter was tasked with guarding Kyrie Irving for most of the game. He held his own for the most part, but Irving played like a superstar in the second half, one not many players in the league could efficiently guard. On offense he was no better, making just four of his 13 attempts.. SF

Atlanta Hawks. JOHN COLLINS. A -. Collins woke up after a slow start to the season. After averaging 8.7 shot attempts in the first three games of the season, the forward took 20 tonight and set a new season-high in points in the first half. His 30 tied with Trae for most on the team and was fantastic in both the pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop.. PF

CLINT CAPELA. B. Capela continues to be eased into the rotation with his injury and once again played well in little minutes. He scooped up a team-high 12 rebounds in just 19 minutes and added seven points. After he called it a night, Brooklyn big man Jarrett Allen began to abuse the Hawks’ frontcourt.. C. Atlanta Hawks
