Atlanta Hawks key No. 2) Keep the Hornets off the offensive glass.

One of the biggest weaknesses for the Atlanta Hawks their inability at times to keep their opponents off the offensive glass. They are giving up 11.3 offensive rebounds per game which is 27th in the league.

The Hornets are collecting 11.1 per game which is the eighth-best in the league, while only giving up 9.9 per game. The Hawks are collecting 11.6 per game, which is sixth in the league so it is a solid contributor to their offense.

The Hornets have three really good offensive rebounders who need to be stopped. Bismack Biyombo averages 3.3 per game and gets 1.3 second-chance points per game. He also is able to average 2.9 assists per game as he kicks the ball out to an open player.

P.J. Washington averages 2.0 per game and LeMelo Ball averages 1.6 per game. Between these three players, the Hornets are able to get six more shots attempts up per game. That is the potential for a further 18 points per game which can be stopped by simply boxing out.

It is going to take a collective effort on the boards for the Hawks as all these players play different positions. The Hornets use multiple players to crash the offensive glass, so multiple players need to find a body and just stop them from getting into a position to get the offensive rebound.
