Atlanta Hawks key No. 1)  Make the 3-ball.

The Hawks are really solid from the 3-point line, usually. They have Young, Hunter, Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter, and Bogdan Bogdanovic who are all high-quality 3-point shooters. Against the Hornets, only Huerter was on his game from distance.

Young went 0-of-3, Hunter was 1-of-7, and Reddish was stone-cold going 0-of-8 from deep. It is safe to say that with the quality of these players, these numbers will not be repeated in the second game of the two-game series.

However, apart from Huerter, the bench also struggled from deep. Goodwin was 1-of-5, and Bogdanovic was 0-of-3. As mentioned earlier, Goodwin was able to penetrate the zone with his speed but the best way to disrupt the zone.

Again, looking at the quality of these players on the bench they are not going to be held to such low numbers again. While Bogdanovic has been struggling with his shot for the season, he is going to break out of it soon, why not in the return game of this two-game series?

The Hawks cannot afford to go down by a big margin again in this game. They need to hit these shots to make the Hornets come out of their comfort zone. If they can’t do this then they are in for a long night again.
