Atlanta Hawks take advantage of the banged up Philadelphia 76ers – Grades
Atlanta Hawks starting lineup grades:
Hunter struggled to score much in the first half but still attacked the hoop, He got to the line eight times and made an easy bucket. He took on Tyrese Maxey who scored 39 last game and held him to just nine in the first half. Hunter would only play limited minutes in the second half due to the job being done.
Collins was huge in the first half, making three 3-point shots and creating for other players. He was one of the main help defense players on Embiid and really helped slow the big man down. Having done most of the work in the first half had a long rest in the second half which was well deserved. Finished with 12 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes
Capela had the hardest defensive matchup of the night and one of the hardest in the entire league. Embiid scored 16 in the first period. When the help defense came in the second period, this helped shut him down. Had 10 points and six rebounds by the half. Managed to collect a double-double in under 27 minutes.
Reddish had 10 points in the first half and the defensive assignment of Danny Green. The sharp-shooting 76ers forward had only two points, including going 0-of-7 from deep. Seemed like a quiet offensive game but still had a double-digit scoring night
A tremendous bounce-back game for Young. He started shooting the ball better and this then opened the floor up for the Hawks star. He then started creating for others and the Hawks started looking like the team we saw at the start of the season. Young would finish the night with 26 points and eight assists in 25 minutes
