Why the Cleveland Cavaliers would agree to the trade

The Cavaliers agree to this trade because they need to get some more balance on their roster. They have so many centers as mentioned on the slide above and there is not enough minutes to go around for all of them.

They also have a bevy of young talent which is going to develop into a solid core in the next few years. Their backcourt of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are both under 23 and are really starting to blossom.

Kevin Porter Jr and Isaac Okoro are also the same age and will look to develop chemistry with the two stars in the backcourt. If you add the 23-year-old Collins to this mix then it looks even stronger for the future.

The Cavaliers also have the money to pay Collins next season to pay him what he deserves. On top of that, the Kevin Love contract will have another year off it so there is a good chance that next year they can trade him and Collins would be the unquestioned starting power forward.

Tony Snell is included partly to make salaries work but also due to the fact that he has been a solid 3-and-D guy in the league for a long time. He would add a level of experience to the wing position which would certainly help the Cavaliers.
