The Atlanta Hawks have just had a blissful three-game stand where they won all three games. Their superstar looks to have got his mojo back, Clint Capela is making history every night and they got some players back from injury.

This is rainbows and lollipops compared to the previous seven games where they only beat a Philadelphia 76ers team that would have struggled in the G-League. However, they did manage to get the win which is important.

John Collins has been huge through the season and has had his issues with the way that the offense is being run. However, he has continued to play hard showing that he is a true professional.

The Atlanta Hawks have better times ahead.

Trae Young had such a hard time over the seven games where they lost six that it was a true concern that he might not get back to the heights of the previous seasons. Well, he just had a three-game confidence boost against the bottom teams of both conferences. Sometimes you need a shot in the arm after a dark period.

The pick and roll chemistry he has developed with his pivot Capela is a thing of beauty. Capela has created space on the floor by being so accomplished above the rim. If Young penetrates then the defense needs to choose between covering Young or Capela. As a rule, either one will score depending on the decision of the defense.

However, there is better to come for this team.
