Atlanta Hawks player stepping up No. 4) Tony Snell

Another player who has returned from injury and is looking to establish a place in the rotation is Tony Snell. Since he came back Snell has been getting time thanks to others being injured. It is not huge amounts of time but he has been working his way back into NBA shape.

Coach Llyod Pierce has said when Snell was available to play that he was not going to rush him back into big minutes. Snell has started to break into the rotation but now that Hunter is out, maybe it is time for him to get more court time.

Snell has been good enough to be a starter in this league for years so certainly has the talent for the role, but it is a question of how he fits into the system. We are not going to know until he plays a lot more, which he should.

Snell never demands more than his share of the ball and rarely puts up a bad shot. The ones he does put up are usually on the money, shooting 38.5 percent from deep for his career. He has not shot the 3-ball at under 39.7 percent for the last four years of his career until this one. The Hawks could use some of this action with Hunter out.
