Atlanta Hawks player likely to be traded No. 1) Rajon Rondo

Rajon Rondo has been ineffective this year. When he opted out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers after winning the title last season, it was all about maximizing his final payday. He certainly got a good deal with the Hawks.

He was given a two-year deal worth $15 million which, based on his current form is a massive overpayment. Granted Rondo has had a knee injury that has sidelined him but he is only averaging 3.4 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.

While Rondo is able to create offense for others, he is struggling to be as effective as he has been for the rest of his career. With the exception of Danilo Gallinari, Rondo has not connected on the floor with the rest of the young team.

The other issue is that with the contract that Rondo is on, the Hawks may not have the money they need to match any off given to John Collins this coming offseason. It is safe to say that the Hawks will be looking to offload this contract if Rondo does not pick up his production.
