Atlanta Hawks offseason signing grade No.3) Nathan Knight
In just the second game of the season, Nathan Knight had a 14 point explosion in just eight minutes off the bench. Despite the injury issues of the Hawks, Knight has played in nine other games, including one where he played less than a minute of game time.
As he is a two-way signing this is understandable and his development is being hurt by the Hawks not having a G-League team play in the bubble.

Atlanta Hawks offseason signing grade No.4) Skylar Mays
Skylar Mays had a very slow start to the season. He was getting very sporadic game time until the middle of February when he came on for junk time against the San Antonio Spurs. Due to junk time starting in the third period Mays had a good amount of time on the court and scored 20 points.
From then Mays had semi-regular playing time until the second last game of the season. Two things happened, Nate McMillan became the coach and Bogdan Bogdanovic returned from injury. McMillan obviously went with the established talent.

Atlanta Hawks offseason signing grade No.5) Onyeka Okongwu
Taken with the sixth pick of the 2020 NBA, Onyeka Okongwu was seen as the second-best big man of the draft. His pick and roll game was unstoppable in college but unfortunately for Okongwu, he missed the first ten games of the season and he has not really been able to establish himself in the rotation.
With that being said, his rookie season is comparable to some of the more prominent centers in the NBA today so there is little to worry about. New coach Nate McMillan appears to be giving him a steady diet of minutes so we will, hopefully, all see Okongwu develop after the All-Star break.
