Four questions that were answered for the Atlanta Hawks on the recent roadtrip
Atlanta Hawks Question No. 3) Who should start in the backcourt next to Trae Young?
This has been a question asked all season long and there is the possibility that the road trip has answered it. In an earlier slide, I talked about the Rondo/Williams trade. This trade meant that the Hawks were without the services of either player for a couple of games.
McMillan re-organized his roster so that Bogdanovic would start alongside Young and Kevin Huerter would go back to the second unit. His role would be the primary playmaker when Young sat, which has been an issue ever since the superstar point guard came to the club.
Since Bogdanovic has started, he has really helped the starting unit. He is a secondary playmaker, he can shoot the ball, and his one on one defense has improved dramatically. When he is the one to start the break the Hawks usually score.
Because of all this, Bogdanovic has scored 28 points against the Spurs and 26 points against the Pelicans, both wins for the team. In the Pelicans game, Bogdanovic did it without the help of Young who was injured. He is starting to regain his form and confidence and is showing the ability to be the player the Hawks paid for this offseason.
