The Atlanta Hawks have had a difficult season with injuries to some of their best players. Kris Dunn has not played a game all season, De’Andre Hunter has been out with a knee issue, Cam Reddish has been out for an extended time due to Achilles soreness.

On top of that, Onyeka Okongwu and Danilo Gallinari missed time at the start of the season, with Gallinari continuing to miss games here and there. John Collins has missed a little time with an ankle injury, and Bogdan Bogdanovic missed a large chunk of time due to his fractured knee.

The inability for Lloyd Pierce to navigate his way to wins throughout the injury issues the Hawks had cost him his job. Interim head coach Nate McMillan has been able to turn the franchise around and has won the Eastern Conference coach of the month award for March in just his first month in charge.

The Atlanta Hawks are making do with who they have.

The Hawks have had so many games this season where they have a makeshift starting five. They then have to cobble together a second unit of the deep bench and two-way players. However, they have made it work, especially after interim coach McMillan took over.

Bogdan Bogdanovic came back after an extended break from injury just prior to the All-Star break and has changed the team. He even steered the Hawks to two victories without franchise players Trae Young and Collins. He has responded the best to the changes McMillan has made and the Hawks are the benefactors.

Now, let’s look at the starting lineup when everyone is healthy for the Atlanta Hawks.
