Atlanta Hawks: 3 keys to the Philadelphia 76ers playoff series
Atlanta Hawks playoffs key No.2) Keep Trae Young rolling.
The Hawks were a totally different team when they took the court against the 76ers last time they met. They were in the depth of an injury crisis so deep they had a game where no member of their starting roster from the first game was able to take the court.
This included Trae Young, who missed both games due to an ankle injury. Likewise, in the first game the two teams played this season, only Embiid played of their bigger names and the game was a blowout the other way.
Now the two teams are meeting in the postseason, the numbers would be thrown out the window anyway. Young played incredible basketball against the Knicks and was simply unguardable. He was able to get whatever he wanted against the Knicks defense and was the best player in the series.
The 76ers have Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle who they will be relying on to slow down Young. They have one of the hardest jobs in the series. Young is built for playoff basketball, he relished the villain role and scored more in the away games than he did in the home games. His ability to beat the defense will be crucial to the Hawks’ chances.
