Atlanta Hawks season highlights for Danilo Gallinari

The big Italian’s role changed when he became a member of the Atlanta Hawks. When he was with the Thunder he was starting the power forward and as such was required to rebound the ball more. As a reserve for the Hawks, he was not in this position often. As such, the two double-doubles that he collected were quite impressive.

When we think about Gallinari, we think about his shooting from his perimeter and this season was no exception. There were two games that come specifically. The first was the game late in the season where the Hawks took on the Portland Trail Blazers.

In the first half, Bogdan Bogdanovic was on fire making seven 3-point attempts. Well, Bogdanovic set the Blazers up, and Gallinari finished them off. He matched Bogdanovic’s efforts and made seven 3-point shots in the second half.

The other highlight when it came to his perimeter shooting was when Gallinari created history for the Hawks. He had ten 3-point makes against the Boston Celtics and his way to 38 points. The other really notable game he had was the second game after McMillan took over and Clint Capela was unavailable. Gallinari started and did a tremendous job against Nikola Vucevic.
