Atlanta Hawks : 3 improvements Trae Young needs to make
By Brice Lewis
Trae Young has taken this Atlanta Hawks franchise to new heights this season, leading them to within two games of the NBA finals. Young has now completed his third full year in the league seems to have reached new levels of his own. This city is behind him as the face of the Hawks and the future years look extremely bright for him and the team.
He will forever compare him and Luke Doncic because of the draft-day trade in 2018 that swapped these two players between teams. If you ask Young, he isn’t worried about any of that. He is only focused on himself and how he can bring the city of Atlanta a championship one day. Regardless, Young is ready to run it back with his squad and see how far he can take the team next year.
Trae Young started to reach a new superstar level of his game this season for the Atlanta Hawks.
Young averaged 25.3 points and 9.4 assists on 43.8% shooting this regular season. He upped his game to a whole new gear in the playoffs with 28.8 points and 9.5 assists on 41.8 percent shooting, which is slightly down percentage-wise from the regular season. If you watched this Hawks team you saw the impact he had on this team and some of the performances he put on.
With all of that being said, Young still has improvements to make in his game. Let’s take a look at 3 things that Trae Young can improve going into next season.
