Point guard to avoid No. 1 for the Atlanta Hawks) Dante Exum

Despite the fact that Dante Exum is playing really well for the Australian National team, he seems to have spent less time off the court than on the court in his career. Apart from his first season, where he played all 82 games, Exum has had so many issues with injury.

He missed the entirety of his sophomore season with a knee injury he sustained while playing for the Australian national team. He came back well to play 66 games in his third season. However, over the next four seasons, Exum played in just 91 games.

On top of his health issues, Exum has also struggled to produce for both the Utah Jazz and Cleveland Cavaliers. He has averaged 5.7 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game. He has only shot the ball at 40.5 percent from the floor and 30.5 percent from behind the arc, meaning his efficiency is not good enough.

His defense was a big factor as to why he was taken with the fifth pick in the 2014 NBA draft. However, injuries and the resulting lack of playing time have robbed Exum of his ability to move laterally as he used to. It would be a terrible move by the Hawks to sign the Australian.
