Centers for the Atlanta Hawks to avoid during free agency No. 1) Cristiano Felicio

Cristiano Felicio has spent the past six seasons in the Chicago Bulls system and has not improved as he was expected to. He was a small part of the Bulls’ last playoff run and signed a four-year, $32 million deal that expires at the end of the season just gone.

During his time with the Bulls, Felicio has averaged 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game. He has barely been able to get into the rotation on a team that has struggled to get near the postseason. He has had multiple opportunities to impress and has not been able to.

If the Hawks wanted to play an offensively challenged center in the time that  Okongwu was out they would have kept Fernando. The problem is that Felicio is not even a good rim protector, with 0.4 blocks per game being his best number which was in his rookie year.

Felicio has a chance of being a negative impact on the court as he has no skillset which sets him apart from anyone else. He can hit close to the rim when the ball is given to him via assist or he gets the offensive rebound. The problem is that there are literally hundreds of centers in the country that can do the same thing who would be hungrier as they have not had the opportunity.
