Atlanta Hawks goal for Sharife Cooper No. 2) Earn a full-time deal.

Every two-way player in the NBA is looking to convert that deal into a full-time NBA contract. There have been several players who have been able to do it. The OKC Thunder have Luguentz Dort and Moses Brown who have achieved this in the last two seasons so it is very possible.

In order for Cooper to get this deal, he needs to dominate the G-League as discussed in the previous slide. But it is going to go deeper than just dominating in the minor league, there has to be a level of commitment to growth which shows why he was drafted.

The best news on this front is that Cooper has a work ethic that has defined his college career. He has been described as a gym rat which will endear him to Hawks coach Nate McMillan who values hard work above many other attributes. I mean look at his own career.

Cooper is one of the players taken in the second round of the draft who has the potential to convert his two-way deal. He has plenty of room to grow, his shooting being the main focus of that growth. He also needs to work on his defense which brings us to Cooper’s last goal.
