Atlanta Hawks goal for Trae Young No. 1) Make the All-Star team again.

While the NBA has tried to correct the voting in the All-Star ballots, they have not succeeded in doing so yet. The fact that Klay Thompson was so high in the fan voting despite being injured and not playing a minute of basketball this season highlights a flaw in the system.

So, Young needs to find a way to capture the hearts and minds of the fans so that they can vote him in. Fortunately for Young, the narrative around him continues to change with the Hawks winning and this is the first step to making his way back to the mid-season spectacular.

He was not even mentioned as a replacement in his home city this season when players had to pull out which is really surprising. Still, he was able to respond to this snub in a similar fashion to the way Damian Lillard had previously with some tremendous games after the break.

Young is facing some stiff competition in the East with players like Kyrie Irving and James Harden on the Brooklyn Nets, Bradley Beal on the Washington Wizards, and Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers to name just a few but if he continues to help his team win he should be able to get there.
