Atlanta Hawks: The three most challenging stretches in the schedule
Toughest parts of the Atlanta Hawks schedule part one) Early November
This tough stretch of the roster actually starts at the very end of October where the Hawks play the Philadelphia 76ers away. The No. 1 seed in the East from last season will be looking for some payback after the Hawks eliminated them in the conference semi-finals.
After facing the Washington Wizards at home, they then travel to take on a major contender in the Brooklyn Nets before facing the NBA’s best team from last season the Utah Jazz, at least this one is in Atlanta.
The Hawks then go on a four-game Western Conference road trip. It is not like they are playing the OKC Thunder or Houston Rockets either. They take on last season’s NBA Finalists the Phoenix Suns followed by the ever-dangerous Golden State Warriors. They then take on the Jazz again before finishing the trip in the mile-high city taking on the Denver Nuggets.
This tough stretch finishes at home where they take on last season’s champions the Milwaukee Bucks. Fortunately for the Hawks, the schedule eases up for the rest of November. If they are not careful they could find themselves near the bottom of the standings with the season only a month old.
