Atlanta Hawks: The three most challenging stretches in the schedule
Toughest parts of the Atlanta Hawks schedule part two) Late December to mid-January
This tough stretch starts just prior to Christmas Day when the Hawks take on the 76ers again on the road. Then they take on the reloaded New York Knicks also on the road on Christmas Day. They will be looking to exact some revenge from being knocked out in the first round.
There is then a home-and-away baseball series style against the newly loaded Chicago Bulls. The second game is the start of a six-game road trip which ends with two games at the Staples Center, one against the Los Angeles Lakers and the other against the LA Clippers.
The Hawks then have a home-and-away series against the Miami Heat before four games at home. This is hardly a rest as they take in the Knicks, Bucks, and the Heat again. The only relief that they get is against the Minnesota Timberwolves which is the third game of this homestand.
To round out this tough stretch, the Hawks then take on the Hornets away before returning home to take on the Bulls. This stretch takes the Hawks from December 23rd all the way through to January 24th which is a long time for such a tough stretch of basketball.
