Atlanta Hawks goal for Danilo Gallinari No. 2) Become a top-ten 3-point shooter.
One of the most prized attributes about Gallinari is that he is an incredible shooter for his size. This is especially true from beyond the arc where Gallinari has the ability to make more than 40 percent of his 3-point attempts over a season.
In fact, back in the 2018-19 season, Gallinari was fifth in the league, shooting the 3-ball at 43.3 percent when he played for the LA Clippers. The next season when he played for the OKC Thunder Gallinari struggled comparatively from beyond the arc, only shooting at 40.6 percent which was 19th in the league.
Due to a lack of definition of his role under Lloyd Pierce, Gallinari was not at his best shooting from the perimeter, shooting at 38.8 percent prior to the All-Star break. This led to his finishing 40th in the league for the season, shooting the ball at 40.6 percent from behind the line. This shows how well Gallinari went after McMillan took over, going at 42.1 percent.
If he can continue to perform his role next season, there is no reason that Gallinari can break back into the top ten in this category. If he can do this then the Hawks are going to be one of the hardest to match up against in the entire league.
