Atlanta Hawks goals for Bogdan Bogdanovic No. 1) Get into the top-5 in 3-point percentage

The Serbian sharp-shooter struggled under Lloyd Pierce with his shot. A lot of this was due to the lack of structure that the ex-head coach employed in his running of the team. It is hard for a shooter to get to his spots and not know that he is going to get his shot or not.

The Hawks saw this with sharp-shooting big man Danilo Gallinari as well. He struggled to shoot at his regular percentage prior to the coaching change and then when Nate McMillan implemented his structure, and his shooting improved out of sight.

Unfortunately, the first part of the season meant that Bogdanovic would finish 11th in the NBA in the 3-point shooting percentage metric. He shot the 3-ball at 43.8 percent which was just behind the 44.0 percentage which Cameron Payne was able to shoot who finished tenth.

The margins are so fine in the NBA that if Bogdanovic had made just five more of his 3-point attempts then he would have been third in the league this season. He would have needed to make 13 more to lead the league last season but that is a goal for the following season.
