Legends for Atlanta Hawks swingman Kevin Huerter to study No. 2) Robert Horry

Robert Horry was one of the most incredible glue guys of his generation. He played on seven different championship teams and did not average more than 12.0 points per game over his entire 16-year career.

Just think about that stat though. How many other players can say that they averaged a championship every 2.3 seasons in the league? There are only six players in the history of the league who won more championships than Horry and they all played for the Boston Celtics during the Bill Russell era.

He is, however, the only player with five or more championships who has won them with three separate franchises. To put it simply, Horry knew how to give a team what it needed, when it needed it. Horry was close to the ultimate role player of his generation, the player who came up with the big play when it was required.

Huerter has shown that he is capable of producing for his team at an elite level. Apart from his Game 7 performance, Huerter came up big early in the season when other players were struggling. He made sure that his team kept winning despite the injuries. Now, he needs to do it at a championship level to take the next step.
