Atlanta Hawks: John Collins comes in above Kristaps Porzingis who is No. 10.

To put it simply, Kristaps Porzingis could have been anything in the NBA. Unfortunately for Porzingis and the two teams that he has played for, his knees are going to be the biggest issue for him helping them to a title.

Porzingis had one of the most memorable draft days when the image of the small child crying because the New York Knicks selected Porzingis, a little-known Latvian player. That sorrow turned to joy when Porzingis took to the court, his put-back dunks, his sweet shooting from the perimeter, and his rim protection winning the fans over.

Then Porzingis injured his knee, sitting out the entirety of his fourth season. He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he formed a good bond with Luka Doncic, well until the end of the current season. The thing is that Porzingis is a better player than Collins in the above categories.

However, Collins has managed to find a better way to play within his team setting. Collins is better defensively and has a greater impact on more games than Porzingis can. Collins is also going to continue to develop as the years progress.
