Atlanta Hawks: John Collins comes in above Julius Randle who is No. 9.

Fresh off his Most Improved season, Julius Randle was rewarded with a new contract as well. He reportedly left money on the table for the New York Knicks to sign more stars so that they did not have the same issue in the playoffs as they did against the Hawks last season.

While this is admirable, it says that Randle has potentially some self-doubt about his ability to take the Knicks to the next level. The reason for this is that he went missing during the Hawks’ first-round playoff series, well his efficiency dried up completely.

Collins can be slowed down the same way at times,. He certainly has the advantage over Randle in that he is able to use his athleticism to get going again. Every time that he was slowed down in the playoffs, Collins would respond with a rim rocking dunk on a putback or an alley-oop.

Collins has the ability to create for himself and others as Randle does, he is just called on less to do this. He is a 40 percent 3-point shooter and rebounds the ball better than Randle. He also has the advantage of being a better rim protector than the Knicks centerpiece.
