Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins comes in at No. 6

There are a few too many holes in Collins’ game to rate him much higher than this. He is a tremendous rim protector given the way that he is able to use his athleticism. However, when it comes to one on one defense Collins does not have the lateral movement.

On top of that, Collins appears to lose confidence at times. He is a tremendous shooter from behind the 3-point line but there were a lot of shaky looks last season which fell. However, when he is confident, Collins looks like he cannot miss.

However, due to his athleticism, Collins is a tremendous rebounder at both ends of the court. He is big enough and smart enough, to box out his player on the defensive end of the court. On the offensive end, Collins shows tremendous timing by being able to get an offensive rebound and throw it down with a huge putback dunk which has a massive impact on the team.

Collins is still struggling a little with his passing but as he gets more involved in the offense, he is going to increase his assists per game average. He already has a tremendous big to big connection with Clint Capela.
