Legends for Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins to study No. 2) Chris Bosh

It is not a bad thing if you were the Miami Heat to have Chris Bosh as the third member of the big-3. The other two players were Dwyane Wade and LeBron James who have both had Hall-of-Fame careers, as did Bosh.

At the start of his career, Bosh was not really a stretch-big. He was a solid player without a perimeter game. He is a couple of inches taller than Collins but that is made up for by Collins through his athleticism.

What Bosh did was find the right shot at the right time and was very rarely out of the game. As such he was an All-Star in every season except for his first two in the league. What he then did was develop his game towards the end of his career, adding a three-point shot to his arsenal. Unfortunately, though, his career was cut short due to blood clots while in his prime.

Collins already has the ability to shoot the ball well from beyond the arc but needs to take a leaf out of Bosh’s book. Shoot it from deep, but also get inside and get to the line. Both of these players are tremendous free-throw shooters which can really hurt the opposition.
