Atlanta Hawks: 3 goals for Kevin Huerter in the 2021-22 season
The Atlanta Hawks were well served by Kevin Huerter last season. Apart from when he injured his shoulder in a contest against the Detroit Pistons which caused him to miss a small amount of time, Huerter was one of the few Hawks who did not miss significant time last season.
Huerter had so many roles with the team last season due to filling in for so many other players due to their injuries. He was in and out of the starting lineup, giving the team what it needed every night that he hit the floor.
He is a true Nate McMillan type of player in this manner. The current head coach of the Hawks was an amazing player in his own right but never received the accolades that his teammates did. He defended at a high level and sacrificed his game got the betterment of the team which Huerter seems to have taken on as a mantra.
The Atlanta Hawks relied on the contributions of Kevin Huerter
When Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter were out of the lineup, it was Huerter who stepped up. But it was not just his offense and ball-handling that the Hawks relied on but it was his defense that stepped up throughout the season. This was highlighted during the Hawks’ first-round series against the New York Knicks.
However, the moment which highlighted Huerter’s importance to the franchise was the 27 point performance he put in to help the Hawks win the semi-finals series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, let’s take a look at three goals for Kevin Huerter in the 2021-22 season.
